Gyula Bergers "Purple Desert"

Regie:
Gyula Berger
Text:
Die Inspiration für "Purple Desert" kam teilweise von Abe Kobo's bekannten Gedicht, "The woman of the sand". Das Stück folgt nicht der Geschichte des Gedichts, versucht aber dessen Atmosphäre aufzugreifen.

„We have met, man and woman, woman and man, thought, idea, curiosity, space and time.

We fly together, our bodies recognize each other while diving, and we endlessly hold on to the thread believed to be the only one. This is not a story, which can be told in words but rather a chase, an observation sensing the signs given by the other, to be able to understand each other better and to find oneself.” "So if it's black and everything is dark and nothing can be seen and even not myself as if I would be invisible or not existing only a hallucination/imagination So if it's like that and nothing is continuing as if this would be the last stop please leave this train it's not running any more there's a defect or it is where it is belonging to in the garage And also policemen don't write punishment tickets any more and are also doing nothing else even not summon or talk or say good evening only look from the distance what seems grotesque"
